The Red Rock Indian Band (RRIB) is an Ojibwe First Nation in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. The Council is an independent member of Union of Ontario Indians, a Provincial Territorial Organization. As of January 2020, the total registered population of the Red Rock Indian Band is 2027, with 1740 members residing off-reserve. Read More >

The First Nations Financial Transparency Act requires that 581 First Nations, defined as an Indian band under the Indian Act, make their audited consolidated financial statements and a Schedule of Remuneration and Expenses of chief and council available to their members.

Professional Business Complex

The Red Rock Indian Band has celebrated the opening of the Professional Business Complex on July 24,2015. The 12000 sq. ft. two-story building has a total of 33 office spaces. The first level consists of 15 office spaces, a reception area, an elevator, and a kitchen. The second level consists of 18 office spaces, a double office and a boardroom. There are a total of 8 washrooms; 4 on each floor, with 2 of the 4 being wheelchair accessible. The Professional Businesss Complex has also been designed for a future expansion to be built off of the south-east wall of the building.

Supercom Industries LP

Supercom Industries LP (“Supercom”) is a 100% First Nation owned business: a partnership between Fort William First Nation, Red Rock Indian Band, Pays Plat First Nation, Biigtigong Nishnaabeg, Pic Mobert First Nation and Michipicoten First Nation, and Supercom Industries Ltd., the general partner corporation owned by the same six First Nations. These are the six First Nations along the northern shore of Lake Superior (the "Proximate First Nations") whose collective territories comprise the route of the proposed East West Tie (the "Project”), one of Ontario’s highest priority transmission lines, linking Thunder Bay to Wawa. With an estimated capital cost of $500 million+, the East-West Tie represents a substantial opportunity for economic development in Northern Ontario, unprecedented in recent history.
